About Us

Ask an Occupational Therapist (AOT) is the first sensory bases centre in the Locality of Islamabad, Pakistan.  AOT is the centre for Sensory, Physical and Behavioural needs.

Our History:

In 2020, Mr. Amman Abbasi, located in Islamabad, realized the desperate need for quality care for children with both physical and mental handicaps. His vision was to care for children who were at risk of neglect and Autism.

He was relentless in finding ways to be with the children who he so adored.

In 2021, He started his own institute Ask an Occupational Therapist (AOT), with the kind and loving attention of his family, friends, a dedicated and committed staff, located at E11, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Who We Are:

We are an organization committed to educating and assisting families with Autistic children.

Our goal is to help families identify the warning signs of autism early on. We empower families with information on autism that they can use to advocate for services for their child.

By the grace of God,  AOT is operating well and successfully catering all the needs of parents and children with Autism. With the help of our supporters, we will continue to care for the most profound cases of mental and physical disabilities well into the future. For as long as it takes!

We are devoted to empowering families and lessening their isolation. Our goal is to build efficacy and end the stigma of Autism Spectrum Disorders in communities Globally.”

Our Impact:

AOT is an organisation dedicated to addressing the needs of underserved families affected by autism spectrum disorders. We serve as the connecting thread by connecting families to services and other families building a spectrum of care within communities.

Since our inception, we have provided resources and services to hundereds of families through programs centered on health and human services, education and awareness, and outreach and advocacy.
